Pick Plan Items

Line #

The system generated line number for the item.

Item #

The item master number. An item master is a master record for a type of inventory item. The item master includes the item description, materials and handling specifications, sales and fulfillment specifications, and warehouse-specific information.

Description

The description of the Item # from the item master.

SO # / Line #

The sales order and line number for which this inventory is being picked.

If this pick plan line is for inventory that will fulfill more than one sales order line, this field is a comma-separated list of sales order and line number identifiers.

Lic #

The license number assigned to the inventory item.

Serial #

The serial number assigned to the inventory item.

Lot #

The lot number assigned to the inventory item.

Expire date

The expiration date assigned to the inventory item.

Qty to Pick

The total amount of the inventory item that needs to be picked. This can vary based on the Item Status:

  • While the item is Approved, this is the total amount of the inventory item that needs to be picked.
  • While the item is In Progress, this is the amount of the inventory item that has not yet been put onto pick tickets.
  • Once the item is Closed, this is again the total amount of the inventory item that needed to be picked for this plan.
  • If the item is Cancelled, this is set to 0.

Qty Picked

The sum of the Qty Pickeds from all of the pick ticket items that fulfill this line, minus the Qty Rejecteds from all of the rejected picks, if any.

Rejected picks happen only in a Pick/Pack Wave: The packer working on the bill of lading can reject the goods picked, for example because they are damaged. The entire Qty Picked remains recorded on the pick ticket (because the goods were picked and delivered to the packing station). However, on the pick plan, the rejected quantities are subtracted from the Qty Picked of the pick plan item. Therefore, the pick plan still shows a difference between the Qty to Pick and the Qty Picked (in other words, the pick plan item still has an Unplanned Qty), and another pick ticket can be generated to pick replacement goods.

Unplanned Qty

The amount that needs to be put onto a pick ticket, but has not yet been put onto a pick ticket.

Pick plan items with an Unplanned Qty greater than zero appear in the Unplanned View of the Pick Plan Items table. When you create pick tickets, the Unplanned Qty of these items is considered for inclusion in the pick tickets.

Original Location

The location of the inventory item before it is picked.

Destination Location

The location of the inventory item after it is finished being picked.

For a Pick to Staging Wave, the Destination Location is the forward or staging location.

For a Pick/Pack Wave, the Destination Location is the packing station.

BOL # / Pkg # / Line #

The bill of lading number, package number, and line number identifier where this pick plan item will be packed.

For a Pick to Staging Wave, this field is null.

For a Pick/Pack Wave, this field is a comma-separated list of identifiers.

Item Status

The state of the pick plan item. The possible values are:

  • Saved: The inventory item has been allocated, but none of the picking has started. No pick tickets for this item have been created yet.
  • In Progress: Some or all of this item has been put onto pick tickets and is in the process of being picked.
  • Closed: All of the picking is complete.
  • Cancelled: No pick ticket was ever created for this item, and the entire pick plan has been cancelled.
