Pack plan field descriptions

General Pack Plan Information (in the top section of the screen)

PaP #

Alphanumeric ID for the document, generated by the system when the pack plan is created. Unique in the warehouse.

Warehouse

The warehouse in which the goods are being packed.

Created date

Date the system created the pack plan.

Created by

User that created the pack plan.

Status

The state of the pack plan. The possible values are:

  • In Progress: The goods are in the process of being picked, packed, and shipped out of the warehouse.
  • Closed: All of the goods have been packed and shipped out of the warehouse on a Closed bill of lading.

Complete date

Date the pack plan became Closed.

Wave #

Alphanumeric ID for this set of work, generated by the system when this set of work is initiated. Unique in the tenant. All documents involved in fulfilling this set of work have the same Wave #. For a Pick/Pack Wave, this includes: the sales orders, the pack plan, the bills of lading, the pick plan, and the pick tickets.

Destination Location

The warehouse location where all of the items on this pack plan are being packed to be sent out of the warehouse. For example, this may be a packing station or a dock door. This location is chosen when the wave is created and cannot be changed while the wave is in progress.

Pack Plan Items

Line #

The system generated line number for the item.

Item #

The item master number. An item master is a master record for a type of inventory item. The item master includes the item description, materials and handling specifications, sales and fulfillment specifications, and warehouse-specific information.

Description

The description of the Item # from the item master.

Status

The state of the line item. The possible values are:

  • In Progress: This item is in the process of being picked, packed, and shipped out of the warehouse.
  • Ready: This item has been completely picked and delivered to the packing station. It is ready to be packed, but has not yet been packed or shipped out of the warehouse.
  • Closed: This item has been packed and shipped out of the warehouse on a Closed bill of lading

Qty to Pack

The amount of the goods that need to be packed.

  • On the Full View of the pack plan, the line items are consolidated by Item #. This is the amount for this pack plan item that needs to be packed.
  • On the Unplanned View of the pack plan, the line items are broken out by BOL # / Line #. This is the amount for this pack plan item that needs to be packed for this BOL # / Line #.

Qty Packed

The amount of the goods that have been packed and shipped out of the warehouse. The amount increases as each bill of lading becomes Closed.

This field is only available on the Full View of the pack plan.

BOL # / Line #

The bill of lading and line number identifier. On the Unplanned View of the pack plan, the line items are broken out by BOL # / Line #.

This field is only available on the Unplanned View of the pack plan.

Unplanned Qty

The amount of the goods that need to packed and shipped out of the warehouse as part of a bill of lading, but that are not yet scheduled to be picked.

Note that when a pack plan is created, all of the goods are scheduled to be picked (that is, all of the goods are part of a pick plan). But sometimes, after the goods have been picked and delivered to the Destination Location, the packer working on the bill of lading rejects some of the items initially picked. For example, an item may be damaged, or the Lot # may not match what was ordered. When all or part of an Item # has been rejected, that means the bill of lading still requires the item, but that all or part of the required amount of that item is not currently scheduled to be picked. The amount of the goods that is not yet scheduled to be picked is the Unplanned Qty.

This field is only available on the Unplanned View of the pack plan.
