Creating a shipment from an inventory report

In SmartTurn you can create a shipment outside of a sales order, by selecting the inventory item to ship from any report that lists individual inventory items. You can save this shipment, and you can edit it until shipping it or cancelling it. You can also ship this shipment immediately, a process known as creating an express shipment. Express shipment is a one-step shipment process where you create the shipment and ship it in one step.

To create a shipment from an inventory report:

Select any inventory report that lists individual inventory items. For example, select Reports>Inventory by Item or Reports>Quantity by Lic #>View.
The inventory reports that list individual inventory items are:
- all of the Reports>Inventory by XXX (for example, Reports>Inventory by Item);
- all of the drill-down pages from the Reports>Quantity by XXX (for example, Reports>Quantity by Lic #>View; the Inventory Items table is at the bottom of the drill-down page);
- and the inventory managers, {Operations or Inventory}>Inventory Managers>View.
Highlight the inventory item you want to ship.
From the toolbar at the top of the table, select Ship. An Add shipment screen appears.
Continue filling in the shipment details, and optionally adding additional items, as you would with any express shipment. See Creating a shipment outside of a sales order.
